The United Center is the home of the Bulls and Blackhawks and one of Chicago's busiest concert venues. It's also in a neighborhood where post-event exits from the parking structure can take 30+ minutes. A group vehicle with United Center transportation solves the exit problem entirely.
Drop-Off Zones
The United Center is at 1901 W. Madison Street, bordered by Madison, Wood, Warren, and United Center parking. Commercial vehicles can drop off on Madison Street in the designated staging lanes. The arena's own drop-off area is along the east and south sides — your driver will confirm the current commercial staging based on the specific event.
Pre-Event Staging
For evening events (most Bulls and Blackhawks games tip off at 7–7:30 p.m.), pre-event drop-off in the 5:30–6:00 p.m. window is generally manageable. Arrive closer to game time (6:30–7:00 p.m.) and Madison Street is backed up significantly.
Post-Game: The Strategy
The post-game exit from the United Center parking is notoriously slow. Groups with a private vehicle avoid this entirely: rather than sitting in the structure, your group walks to the pre-agreed vehicle staging point on a side street (typically on West Warren or Wood Street, a block away from the crush on Madison), and is moving while everyone else is still in the garage.
Agree on the post-game meeting point before the event — with your group's attention on a game, mid-game coordination is difficult. "We're meeting the driver on the corner of Wood and Warren, south side, 10 minutes after the final buzzer" is cleaner than trying to find each other in the crowd.
Concert Nights
United Center concerts end later (typically 10:30–11:00 p.m.), and rideshare surge pricing post-concert is significant. A pre-booked group vehicle is a flat cost that looks better and better relative to surge pricing as the night goes on.
